We offer two morning meditation tracks to choose from. Both programs are appropriate for all levels, novice to experienced. The groups come together for lunch and fun afternoon and evening outings.
Mindfulness and Meditation Program

Corinne is a qualified MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) teacher, a graduate of the UC San Diego Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute. This track is a condensed version of the 8 week (MBSR) course developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. MBSR is a highly researched health-promotion program which explores the psychology and physiology of mindfulness and provides tools for fostering a lifestyle of wellbeing and resilience. The goal is for participants to leave the retreat with a plan for bringing meditation and mindfulness into their daily life back home.
CE hours are available through this track for psychologists nationwide as well as nurses, licensed clinical social workers and marriage and family therapists in California.

Relaxing into Basic Nature Through Meditation

Going on retreat is a wonderful gift to oneself, an opportunity to withdraw from the hassles of daily living and relax your mind. This 10 day practice retreat is a great opportunity to learn meditation, or to deepen your existing meditation practice. Mornings will consist of mindfulness-awareness meditation instruction and practice along with yogic movement, (suitable for everyone) select compassion practices, individual interviews and discussion. We will also explore through meditation, the Buddhist principle that our basic nature is good and sound; perfect as it is, and it is the veils of conditioning and unawareness that cause suffering and confusion.

You can Earn Continuing Education hours (CE's)
Continuing Education hours (CE's) for healthcare providers are provided through the Spiritual Competency Resource Center (spiritualcompetency.com). 15 CE's are available for a fee of $50.00 if all classes have been fully attended.
Mindfulness, meditation, and MBSR trainings have been shown to be helpful for healthcare practitioners including psychologists, MFT’s, LCSW’s, nurses and MD’s in promoting their own self-care and wellbeing as well as improving their ability to guide their patients in self-care and health-promoting lifestyles. Healthcare practitioners who practice mindfulness have a deeper sense of connecting with patients, have greater compassion, and are more connected with present moment experience which results in greater patient satisfaction. Healthcare practitioners who bring mindfulness into their daily life also report less symptoms of burnout and greater resilience.
American Psychological Association: Spiritual Competency Recourse Center is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Spiritual Competency Resource Center maintains responsibility for its programs and their content.
California Board of Behavioral Sciences accepts CE credits for license renewal by LCSWs and MFTs for programs from CE approved sponsors of the American Psychological Association. LCSWs and MFTs from states other then California need to check with their state licensing board for approval.
